Family Law and Divorce
Divorce (if we are faced with it) is possibly the most stressful things to happen in our lives, on an emotional, and financial perspective. Not only are our lives as we know them being shaken to the core, we are required to somehow make rational decisions around things like, children, housing, financial independence, and the painful question of who gets what.
Getting the right advice in terms of rights and obligations, is critical, but so is having a balanced perspective of the real cost financially and emotionally of fighting these issues out in the public arena and relying on a 3rd party to tell us what we should do.
Now don’t get me wrong, they are many instances where we have no alternative but to do this, but in my view, if at all possible the best outcome to these questions are those that we are able to agree ourselves coming from a balanced and educated perspective.
I have seen way too often couples close to agreement, only to be derailed by the well meaning advice of friends, lawyers and those who carry their own battle scars of an unhappy process for themselves
The key to a conscious and acceptable outcome, is education, support and a willingness to look at the bigger picture. We would be happy to assist you if this is your desired outcome.
